Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several TV shows. The family she was born into fled Afghanistan and sought asylum in the US. Her birthplace was in the US. Her sister in law raised her in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on the television industry by appearing on numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in Laura Neri's movie A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For this performance, she received a nomination at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Actress. She appeared as an actress in numerous TV shows, such as How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. In recent times, she was in independent comedies You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009. She also appeared in the science-fiction action film Blood Shot. Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she was a part of the cast for General Hospital. She was cast in the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. She played Dr. Saira Bhata, an expert in holistic health care in the second season of Night Shift. In 2009, Ghanizada played Kelly who was a Prada salesperson on HBO's Entourage and joined the crew of the TV show's pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan as well as the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
